Published 5th June 2026
Cohort plc, the AIM-listed defence technology group has committed to donating £20,000 to its Charity of the Year, humanitarian charity Ukraine Relief, as part of the company’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
The Cohort Group has a long-standing history of supporting charitable and community initiatives across the UK through fundraising, volunteering and community engagement. To mark two decades as an AIM-listed business, Cohort has selected a Charity of the Year to maximise the impact of its giving.
The charity was selected by employees across the Group. The donation will support Ukraine Relief’s ongoing work delivering generators, emergency food and medical supplies to communities affected by the war in Ukraine, alongside support for schools and local organisations.
Andrew Thomis, Chief Executive of Cohort plc, said:
“Cohort’s 20th anniversary as an AIM-listed business is an important milestone, and one we wanted to mark through the launch of this Charity of the Year partnership. As a company operating in the defence sector, we are acutely aware of the impact of conflict on individuals, families and communities, as well as those serving to protect them.
“Ukraine Relief is delivering critical aid, technology and practical support to communities facing unimaginable challenges every day. We are proud to support the organisation’s efforts and hope our contribution will help provide meaningful assistance to the people, schools and organisations across Ukraine.”
Karol Swiacki, CEO of Ukraine Relief, said:
"We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Cohort plc employees for voting for Ukraine Relief Aid Charity to become Charity of the Year.
"This is a moment of great pride for the entire Ukraine Relief team. Your support strengthens our belief in our mission and empowers us to continue expanding our humanitarian operations. Support like this makes a direct difference to the communities we work with across Ukraine. Ukraine Relief has delivered more than 5,250 tonnes of humanitarian aid worth over £18 million, alongside 408 vehicles - including ambulances, trucks and a fire engine - to support local communities and emergency services.
Thanks to your trust and encouragement, our international team will continue standing with and supporting Ukraine for as long as help is needed.”
The donation will be made to Ukraine Relief by Cohort plc in July 2026.
