Cohort Group to showcase latest naval capabilities at Combined Naval Event

Cohort plc, the independent defence technology group, is showcasing the latest naval innovations from its agile and innovative businesses at the Combined Naval Event (CNE), 19 – 21 May 2026.  

 

Located on stand B32, four of the Group’s subsidiaries - Chess Dynamics, EID, EM Solutions and SEA - will be demonstrating solutions to meet today’s emerging naval defence challenges. 

 

At the event, Chess Dynamics will be showcasing its SeaEagle FCEO-D (Fire Control Electro-Optical – Digital), designed to support modern naval operations with reliable, high-performance sensing and fire control capabilities. The SeaEagle FCEO-D delivers advanced electro-optical surveillance and tracking, supporting a wide range of maritime missions including security operations, search and rescue andinfrared search and track (IRST). It also assists with navigation, aircraft control, and mine avoidance. Visitors will be able to learn more about how the SeaEagle FCEO-D provides real-time situational awareness and accurate targeting data, supporting effective and timely engagement decisions. Chess experts will be on the stand to share how SeaEagle FCEO-D, and the wider SeaEagle portfolio, enhance situational awareness, threat detection and precision engagement. 

 

EID offers an exceptionally strong track record in delivering secure and reliable communication systems for naval platforms. At CNE it will present its seventh-generation advanced naval communication solution, designed to support modern naval operations and enhance mission effectiveness at sea.  EID’s portfolio enables seamless connectivity between ships, command centres, and joint forces, supporting situational awareness, interoperability and operational readiness in complex maritime environments. EID’s team invites visitors to the stand to explore its capabilities which highlight the company’s commitment to innovation and its role as a trusted partner for naval forces globally. 

 

Showcasing its maritime satellite communications, EM Solutions will be highlighting the King Cobra satellitecommunications on-the-move (SOTM) terminal. King Cobra delivers high-capacity, resilient, multiband communication and has been selected by the Royal Australian Navy for fleet-wide SATCOM modernisation, as well as other blue-water navy customers worldwide. EM Solutions will also be presenting itslighter SOTM solution for smaller vessels – the compact Cobra terminal - which is renowned for its multiband flexibility and robust tracking.  

 

SEA will be showcasing state-of-the-art naval ship and fleet protection systems, alongside its undersea surveillance solutions. On the stand will be Ancilia, SEA’s trainable countermeasures system, which provides agile and resilient countermeasures for complex, multi-threat environments. Ancilia has been selected by the UK Royal Navy for the Ministry of Defence’s Electronic Warfare Countermeasures Increment 1a (EWCM 1a) programme to equip the Type 26 andType 31 frigates, and the Type 45 destroyers with the flexible countermeasure solution. Ancilia provides real-time threat assessment, rapid response against surface, subsurface, and air threats, and modular integration across both new and legacy platforms. SEA will also be showcasing KraitSense, its agiletowed sonar system which enhances ASW, ISR, and situational awareness missions from crewed and uncrewed platforms. Visitors to the stand will also be able to learn about SEA’s collaboration with Mind Foundry and its NIGHTINGALE software which has demonstrated how artificial intelligence and machine learning - when paired with a flexible and proven ASW capability - can enhance ASW situational awareness across a variety of crewed and uncrewed maritime operations.
